Mini Bread Slices with Garlic Cheese & Tomatoes

Description

This Russian appetizer has a sharp taste of garlic and cheese mixture, smoothed by a juicy piece of a tomato. Simple mini breads will be a guaranteed success at a party or give a new flavoured kick to your movie time snack.

Ingredients

10 thin rye breads
5 garlic cloves
70 g grated cheese (2.5 oz)
100 g mayo (3.5 oz)
2 tomatoes
1/4 bunch parsley, for decoration
Vegetable oil, for frying
1 tsp salt

Directions

To prepare cheese mix:
Crush the peeled garlic (leaving one clove for later) through the garlic press, mix in grated cheese and mayonnaise.

Chop up the tomato, wash the parsley.

Cut the brown bread into triangles or mini triangles, put a pinch of salt and a garlic clove on a saucer, lay paper towels for fried breads.

Pour a generous amount of oil into the frying pan, heat it up. Fry the slices of bread on medium-high heat in sizzling oil, both sides, drain excess oil of each on the paper towels and collect the fried breads onto the plate.

Repeat the same procedure for the next round of breads - fry, drain, collect onto plate.

Cut thin slice of the prepared garlic clove, dip the clove into the salt and rub onto the fried bread. As the clove gets weary, repeat cuting off a slice and dipping into the salt.

Spread the cheese mix over the breads and decorate with a slice of tomato and parsley.

Enjoy
