Tequila Steaks

The marinade for these steaks is prepared with tequila, horseradish, plenty of garlic and lime zest. On the grill, this steak can't be beat.


4 rib eye steaks
1/2 cup tequila
1 tbsp freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp lime zest
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp  horseradish
2 bay leaves


Mix tequila, pepper, horseradish, bay leaves, lime zest and garlic in a plastic bag or suitable container. Add steaks and rotate them to distribute mixture evenly over steaks. Marinate in refrigerator overnight. On a preheated grill cook steaks brushing with remaining marinade, until done. Turn once during cooking time, about 12 minutes. Season with salt and serve.
