Simple Apple Cake

A delicious apple cake should not take you a whole day to make and such a cake should indeed taste delicious. This simple apple cake is a very straight forward recipe for making a delicious apple cake. The apple is mixed with the dough and a little vanilla is added. It must be one of the best apple cakes we have ever tasted.

Here you are, a recipe you can use with confidence knowing that your guests will enjoy every single tasty bite.

Ingredients

220g white flour (normal flour, don't use strong)
100g sugar
4 eggs
100g butter, cut into small pieces
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract / essence / ground vanilla bean
5 large apples, peeled and deseeded, chopped into small chunks
Custard (optional)

Directions

- Preheat oven to 180C / 350F
- Put all the ingredients (except apples) into a bowl and mix with an electric mixer.
- Mix in the apples by hand into the mixture
- Get a cake tin and pour the mixture into the cake tin
- Stick it into the oven for approximately 45 minutes. The cake should look golden in colour when done. To test if it is done stick a tooth pick or a knife into the cake, it should come out clean.
- When done, remove from oven, cut into slices and serve with custard (warm or cold).
