Serving suggestion: you could warm up the buns in the grill, toaster or oven just before you assemble them.

Ingredients

1 large turkey breast, sliced into logs
2 seeded buns (ciabatta if you can), horizontally sliced
3 large potatoes (mix of white and sweet), cut into logs, dried with a kitchen towel
1 avocado, destoned and sliced
6 smoked bacon strips
1 handful cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
Marinated cabbage (sauerkraut)
Tomato sauce
Salt
Pepper
Olive oil
Cheddar cheese / mozzarella (optional)

Directions

- Fire up your oven on 200C to preheat it.
- Grab an oven dish, stick all potato logs in, drizzle some olive oil on them, sprinkle some salt and pepper and massage it all in. Once done, put it into the oven. It will cook for approx. 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
- 20 minutes into cooking, get a frying pan out, drizzle some olive oil, heat it up, then put turkey in and fry for 10 minutes, turning every so often to ensure all sides are cooked. Add a dash of seasoning to the turkey - pepper, salt, chicken seasoning or whatever you fancy. Turkey should look golden brown and should feel firm. Put to the side to rest.
- In the same frying pan, put bacon strips in and fry them for a couple of minutes. When done, remove from frying pan and pat dry with kitchen towel.
- Remember the potato fries, if they look like they're done / if 40 mins has now elapsed, switch off the oven and open the door slightly.
- Next, time to assemble the burgers. Put the bottom bun slice onto plate, add a few avocado slices, a couple of logs of turkey, cherry tomatoes, a few strips of bacon, add some cheddar or mozarella cheese if you wish and cover with the top bun. Do the same for the second bun.
- Now get those fries out of the oven and add them to the dishes. Add some marinated cabbage (sauerkraut) on the sides. Squirt some tomato sauce on the sides.
- Serve. Absolutely wonderful! Enjoy.
