Polish Chili

Description

This is a recipe which my grandmother handed to us since I was a kid. I call it Polish Chili because I think I was in my 30's before I realized chili doesn't have potatoes in it. But my grandmother always called it chili. So here it is.

Ingredients

1-1/2 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced or use 2tbsp dried onions
3 medium potatoes, cut into bite size pieces
1 can kidney beans undrained
2 cans tomato soup plus 2 soup cans water
1tbsp chili powder
1tbsp paprika
Salt and pepper

Directions

1. Brown ground beef with onions. Drain.
2. Add tomato soup and water. Add chili powder and paprika. Put in potatoes and simmer for 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until thickened. Add kidney beans and simmer for another 15-30 min.

NOTE:
The chili powder and paprika are estimate, just dump to cover the top of the pot, do it to taste
