Orange & Cranberry Sauce


Description

Enjoy extra tang to the classic cranberry sauce. Perfect with roasted duck, turkey, goose or chicken.

Ingredients

1 lb cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp orange zest
3/4 cup fresh orange juice (from 2 oranges)
1/2 sprig fresh rosemary

Directions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugars, 1 1/2 tsp orange zest, orange juice, ginger and rosemary.

2. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens, 15 to 20 min. Discard rosemary and serve warm or at room temperature, sprinkled with remaining orange zest.
