Tikka Marinade


Description

Enjoy making this simple chicken tikka marinade. This recipe accommodate two stages of marinating the chicken, to help develop flavour. Finely slicing the chicken breast ensures that the marinade permeates all the way through the meat.

Ingredients

First marinade:
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 pinch of salt

Second marinade:
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp red chilli paste
100g natural yoghurt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
20ml of vegetable oil

Directions

1. Slice the chicken into thin slices.

2. Mix together the first marinade ingredients and coat the chicken well. Leave to marinate for about 20 min.

3. Mix the second marinade ingredients together and coast the chicken. Leave to marinate in the fridge for about 6 h.
